Phases and the board
Where is that track at. Answered from a folder, the options are a name and a guess. In progress is not a place.
Crate’s answer is the workflow phase: every sorted project sits in exactly one, and the board renders the phases as columns. The board’s job is one question: what should I open next.
The columns
The Default phases are Drafting, Arranging, Mixing, and Mastering, with Releasing as the permanent final lane.
Drag a card when the work moves; the move is logged in the project’s history. Order within a column is yours to drag too.
Two things that are not columns
The Inbox is the route before the board; it holds projects that have no phase yet.
Released is a separate page where finished work rests (see Releasing and receipts). Releasing, the final lane, is a verb on purpose: release prep is work, and its checklist lives there.
Phases come from your pipeline
Phases are not fixed labels. They come from your pipeline, and you can rename or replace them (see Pipelines).
